The Voice Nigeria 2016 - Team A'rese!!!

Wasn't really interested in The Voice Nigeria until my sister-in-laws told me that there was one contestant that reminded them of me. That she loved dressing in African styles, like me; had natural hair, like me and that even her face...she looked like me...LOL! Her name is A'rese Emokpae.

So by force, I went to check her out and got hooked! Hehehehe! She sure knows how to sing. And she has both good stage presence and facial expressions while singing. Plus she has a lovely smile *smiles* The other contestants are good too, but she has become my favorite maybe because she does remind me of myself *grins*

Please vote for A'RESE: SMS 25 to 33120 (N50 per vote) and 100 times for FREE on WeChat

C.I.T.Y Summer Leadership School 2016 - Leaders Arise 2.0

Sometimes I wish I had the opportunity to go for summer camps in my teens, though I got to go for summer classes. But they don't compare to the activities you will find in summer camps.  So when a friend put up on her instagram about a summer camp for teenagers in Nigeria coming this August, I just can not help but spread the news.

"C.I.T.Y is an acronym for Catch and Inspire Them Young; it is a leadership program for teenagers powered by the Eagles HOPE Foundation (H.O.P.E).

Over the last four (4) years through the C.I.T.Y program, H.O.P.E has engaged over 1,300 volunteers and a good number of corporate partners to reach over 7,500 Leaders (teenagers) across Nigeria at no cost to the teenagers.

In 2015 the C.I.T.Y Summer Leadership School hosted over 450 teenagers in four locations across Nigeria; Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, and Ota (Ogun State), engaging over 250 volunteers. The camps were running simultaneously in all four locations."

For more information please check the website - Leaders Arise 2.0

"Warri Love" - Married for 56 Years by Onye Ubanatu

My friend, Producer/Cinematographer Onye Ubantu of My Passion, My Life, recently did this beautiful interview of a couple in Warri who have been married for 56 years!!! In a generation where divorce and separation is now a culture, this is very inspiring for us especially younger couples. Enjoy and be inspired *smiles*

DJ Obi's Guinness World Record

You know I like to associate with people that like to stand out and do great things *shinning teeth* So when I heard that a secondary school mate of mine was planning to break the Guinness World Record for Longest DJ Set, I couldn't help but show some support na *wink*

Obinna Ajuonuma aka DJ Obi, one of Nigeria’s foremost DJs, broke the Guinness World Record for Longest DJ Set. The ten days set began from 10pm on June 22nd and ended 10pm on July 1st, 2016. The event held at Sao Café  located at 25 Prince Adelowo Adedji Street off Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos which is run by his sister, Sarah Ajuonuma a.k.a Chef Sarah.

The last record for the Longest DJ Set was 200 hours and was set on November 19, 2014 in Dublin, Ireland. DJ Obi made history by breaking the records with 240 hours. It was not an easy task. As I heard, he was allowed to sleep for only 20 minutes every 4 hours i.e. 2 hours every day. Mehn! That no be small work,o! *whew*

Kudos to you, DJ Obi!!! You have set Naija on the map as a foremost 'DJing' destination in Africa.
