2014 Rainbow College Reunion

The first ever Rainbow College Reunion held on Saturday 20th December, 2014 at one of our Alumni's restaurant and bar called Whispers Restaurant & Lounge at Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.
About forty (40) alumni turned up for the event. So far, it was a good turn up for a first time alumni reunion. Am sure the next one would be bigger and better *wink*
It was good seeing some old faces. Check out a few sneak peaks *smiles*

Blogilates Fan: Fitness & Clean Eat

I can't recall how I came about Cassey Ho of Blogilates but I've become a fan! I like her easy buzzy way of doing exercises, her Clean Eat recipes and most especially her colourful work out sessions and kitchen! *shines teeth* She's such a bright and sunny person!
Early this year, I made a resolution...ok that's a lie...I made a determination (sounds!) to keep fit and eat healthy. Am not an exercise freak nor do I like eating veggies and fruits (you'll have to force them down my throat!). But when I made this determination to seriously lose this preggie fat and belly, I fell in-love with fruits and veggies! Am serious! I've been eating only fruits and veggies for the past four weeks...and am loving it! To garnish the veggies, I add shreds of chicken (mostly grilled, boiled or smoked) and fish (mostly boiled or smoked titus fish, which is my favourite). I can say I've eaten carbs only twice this very small quantity. The lesser the carbs, the better.
I  always look forward to making and eating my veggies and proud of me! :)
Cassey's Clean Eating Grocery List has been a great guide to clean eating and staying healthy
My Detox Water: Cucumber, Lemon, Lime and Ginger/Garlic with lots of water. I put it the fridge over night and drink up the next day. It helps to flush out my body of toxins, helps with belly slimming and to de-bloat

Cassey Ho has been a great inspiration especially with her POP Pilate body work outs and Cheap Clean Eats recipes. Right now am focusing more on my abs with the Blogilates 30 Days Abs Challenge which I recommend for anyone looking at having a flat and firm belly. It works! Am already seeing results! *wink*
You can try out some of her other body exercises. Even if you don't like exercises, you would enjoy doing it her way *smiles* Check them out:

Like Cassey would always say: "TRAIN LIKE A BEAST LOOK LIKE A BEAUTY!" *wink*

Share a Coke with...Nnenna!

So Coca-Cola started printing people’s names on its labels. With this initiative Coke's sales has risen significantly. I first noticed this trend on a friend's table and was wondering how she got her name stamped on it. That's when I heard of “Share a Coke” campaign.
The initiative behind the “Share a Coke” campaign is that shoppers could choose personalized bottles and cans of Coke carrying about 600 popular Nigerian native names from A to Z and endearing terms such as “Bros”,  “Boss-lady”, “BFF”. The marketing strategy was created to get consumers to buy drinks for friends and family as well as themselves which appears to have paid off.
It was reported that when “Share A Coke” first ran in 2011 in Australia, consumption soared by seven per cent. It has now spread to about 80 countries. Based on The Wall Street Journal reported research, Coca-Cola reversed a ten (10) years decline in consumption in the USA. Reports has it that a spokesman for the beverage giant said it was “pleased” with the campaign, which even saw bottles for sale on eBay!
Coca-Cola is one of the highest consumed drinks in Nigeria. But I bet they have made one of their  historic sales ever in Nigeria this January 2015! Because even those who don't drink Coke are scrambling to find their own names on a Coke bottle or can. Really fun! Whoever came up with this strategy is brilliant!
Got my own name on the Coke bottle....hehehe! Thanks to my friend, Sheila who found it for me.
So happy "Coke name search"!!!

100 Years of Beauty: Kinky Hair

Just had to share this video by Cut Video. It shows how natural afro hair evolved from 1910 to 2010. It made me smile.
